Brittany studied African dance during her undergraduate years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison under choreographer Christopher Walker, the lead dancer for the National Dance Theater Company of Jamaica. In 2008, she traveled to Ghana to study dance and drumming at the Dagbe Cultural Institute and Arts Center, which was founded by master drummer Godwin Agbeli. In 2009, Brittany lived in South Africa and studied African dance at the University of Cape Town under famed choreographer and professor, Maxwell Xolani Rani. She currently teaches African Dance as part of an Arts Enrichment Program for U-46, as well as a fusion of Ghanian, South African, and Afro-Caribbean dance at DePaul University in Chicago.
